Reader: Victor Hanson’s editorial on The Battle of the Bulge (The Morning Call, Dec. 27) is evidence that enough is enough. To say Patton was “unpredictable” and that this is why Trump is great is foolishness and pandering at its worst.
Reader: A letter to the editor on Dec. 24 jokingly puts forth the idea that Democrats would attempt to impeach President Trump for tying his shoes incorrectly. It’s humorous that the writer would jokingly compare tying shoelaces with allegedly soliciting aid from a foreign government for the the president’s self interest.
Reader: If the president, as all House of Representatives Republicans seem to believe, is innocent of the impeachment charges against him brought by the Democrats, why has he refused to release the pertinent documents requested?
Reader: Sen. Graham had it right in 1999 when he said: “Impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office [of the president].”
Reader:I know, I’m old and digitally handicapped — but will not give up the joy of shopping. What better way to spend some time than walking up and down food aisles or browsing through the different store departments.
Op-ed by Easton's mayor: Easton is experiencing a wonderful renaissance. And 2020 will bring more than $150 million in private investment in all parts of our city as we develop the whole town, not just the downtown.
